INSTALLATION OF STAINLESS STEEL DEAD PEDAL:
The pedal has a raised tab on the left side that fits under the plastic moulding on the side of the firewall. On the bottom of the pedal is another tab which fits under the rubber or carpet mat. For further holding power you can add Velcro to the bottom of the dead pedal and the plastic portion of the carpet.
INSTALLATION OF EMERGENCY BRAKE PAD:
The pedal I supply comes with industrial strength Velcro. If you do not use the emergency brake or use it very infrequently, the Velcro is more than strong enough. Otherwise, use an adhesive such as Devcon Weld-it or some other adhesive that bonds rubber and metal.
First remove the original pad by pulling on the upper left hand side of the pad away from the pedal. Three sides will come loose. Then pull the upper right side away from the pedal and the entire pad should come off.
After removing the original pad, peel the backing off the Velcro and apply to the pedal. Then apply the pad to the pedal from the upper left corner down. Because you are using Velcro, it can be repositioned if you didn't apply it straight the first time.
INSTALLATION OF PLASTIC DEAD PEDAL:
Attach the Velcro to the plastic portion of the carpet. Press the pedal in place on the Velcro.
